Well it seems most if not all the lakes in the lake distrcit let you use them and its only a hour up the motorway so...

That seems to be the case with a lot of the reservoirs round here. When we were looking at getting a canoe it seemed to be that although the sailing clubs could use them they didn't allow canoes

Derwent resivouir is closed to canoes but you can sail on it?

They occasionally might be closed off for work, but you can take them on a lot of them. Work for UU so i have checked.

That would have been cool, although I'm not sure you can take canoes on the local reservoirs for some reason

I found out about it at 1 or i would have tried to get myself there as well, wouldnt have been even better if my canoe had arrived in time for me to get on derwent water with it

Only found out about it yesterday and just haven't been able to sort a lift in time

There's a small part of me that was hoping for atrocious weather today, the BBMF and 617Sqd are overflying Derwent

Nicer day today so bit of gardening i think then sort the shed out .

Fingers crossed. Well deposit paid over and multicam chosen so now just the 2 weeks wait.

hopefully it'll live up to the first two when it's finished
