Post food for free
Well. Got a copy of food for free yesterday for mi birthday. If it stops lashing down i might be able to go out and find mi dinner.

It's a fantastic book Steve and you will have great fun identifying everything you find.

One word of caution tho, only identify what you find. Don't go looking for something specifically as one can often "make" something fit that isn't right. By this I mean that it's easy to miss-identify something because we so "want" it to be that thing.

I was once many many years ago nearly caught out by the false chanterelle because I had gone looking for chanterelles specifically and I "made" what I had found fit what I was looking for.

Why don't you post some pics of your finds and what you do with them on here.

There's mushrooms galore out and about at the moment, so you might find enough to whip up a tasty risotto if your lucky!

A weed,growing +- 1/2 meter high and it's better/nicer/than spinnage.Maroggo..with potatoes and a little onion..many spellings!
Milk gone sour/thick with pap and a little sugar.
Magau,suurpap,sour porridge.can't remember how to make it!
Hubbard sqaush pumpkin peels with potato and onion.
Food that I grew up with!
