Post Out for a Forage
A great time now for foraging :D Out with Maxine first thing for Sloes and Rosehips :thumbsup:

The trees are Laden with them

Also came across some Shaggy caps so will be going back to fetch them to make a Shaggy cap Ketcup

We ended up with 5LB Sloes and 2.1/2 LB Rosehips

Were Making some Rosehip and Crab apple jelly at the Mo

When we got back from the Forage we went over the Allotment and came back with some more goodies :thumbsup:

Its always nice to know what you can and cant eat..so raiding the local hedgerows is great. I find the hard part is preserving things. I can never remember how to get things to keep.

Pickling, jams, freeze without damaging the veg etc..
